Tag As FavoriteComment		The Egyptian God of enbalming, Anubis. Typically he's depicted with just a Jackal head, but I figured I'd give him the full treatment. Besides, I figure he must switch around body forms anyway. He IS a God, after all. Done with a black pen while watching The Crow. Maybe that explains the bondage inspired rings on his collar. hmm.

Some pictures of anubis are entirely canine.
I really like the shape of this one, though.

Also, there are these dogs which were the first ever domesticated dogs, and they were domesticated by the Ancient Egyptians. They are called the Pharoah Hound (there is another name for them begining with B, but I forget it), and that is what the head of Anibis is . The head of a Pharoah hound (not of a Jackle).
Anyway, thought you might like to know.

ok l;ets get one thing straight when adresseing th Lord Anubis please use his full name he was not JUST the God of Embalming but also The God of The Underworld, Protecter of Dogs and Tricksters. Ive been following the Egyptian Life style for many of years and he has never steared me wrong before. Apart from his name this rendition is lovely though i fear the jackal form looks a tad on the skinny side but im sure he is skinny in that form poor thing prob. dont eat.
