I can tell you now, the second last stanza removes any chance of the last stanza ever being honoured by the reader Still, another nice take on a common theme. Keep Writing! Trent August Rayner replies: "Since it's written from good ol' Lucy's point of view, I feel that it's meant to more be read by fellow Angels and such, rather than us humans; So it's not really meant to make *us* weep... At least, that's my excuse, and I'm sticking to it. ^^ Thanks for commenting."

I tend to hate humanity... humans to understand and worship Lucifer even though he only hates them. It's derranged, but thought-procoking when you get into how human nature complies and reacts in different situations. I think it's a beautiful twist and critism... but then, I might just be slightly biased.

Actually, your "excuse" puts the ballad into the perfect perspective (I must admit, it was not obvious to me on the initial readings that the ballad was directed toward the other angels) and makes it the work that much more evocative.
Most interesting work. I look forward to what else you might share....

He knew that they would fall from grace. And if he did not know that they would fall, then he’s not as omnipotent as he claims to be.
