They say on the Queens birthday, one is to celebrate. Though this one time no one cheered.

The waft of wind came,
The sea its native soil,
First it brought the rain,
And the earth was watered for two days no end,
Until the wind.
Draught that formed to gust,
The trees began to bow, the dogs began to shake,
Gust that formed to zephyr,
The houses began to break, the cars began to shiver,
The soldiers went out to battle,
They stood tall and strong,
Beneath broad green helms,
Some were taken down,
One
By
One.
But no brave soldiers are to be remembered that day,
No parade will celebrate the bravery,
No generation will silver in pride over the memories.
The people woke to the death of the soldiers,
The blood rushing up to their knees,
It washed through communities,
It stranded casualties,
No one was safe,
For the storm was yet to end.
Power was lost throughout the county,
Complete darkness for all,
And many were fixed within their walls,
But the storm was yet to move again.
No one was save,
The wrath of the whips stung their eyes,
The shaking of the earth rumbled their hearts,
The torches of white light illuminated scared faces,
The washing of the blood swept away dreams.
The farmers of the land primary were the salutation,
Yet soon they began to cry like them all.
While some slept others wept for the lost,
No one believed the warnings,
Yet no one was to know,
Until after the ships came in to save the souls.
