But I could definitely see her eyeing hungrilly those who crossed over with Charon. - Although I like all the red, fiery, lava-like appearances, I don't think the Greeks believed in Hell, nor the Romans. The Underworld was a cold, lifeless, desolate place, so I would imagine moreso swampy waters, not the usual fire and brimstone idea. But it's all open to interpretation, which is the wonderful thing about history, mythology, and artwork. Very nice stuff here - my favorite part is her face.

I mean I do, but it's just that the body and background look so real and the face just has a total different look. Which is of course a matter of taste so don't be offended. But over all it's awesome. Keep up the good work.

Which reminds me, I haven't officially responded to the comment yet (alas, I'm WAAAAAY behind on my replies), but I'd be HONORED if you wanted to take Zaretva on as a project. You seemed interested, so I thought I should offer it to you. You rock, my dear!

| 2 Jun 2008 | Anon. | Loading...Great pic. I love how the face looks it looks like she’s gonna come kill you or somthing To Anonymous (30 Nov 2005) the Greeks or the romans are more likely to have copied the concept of Hell from the Christians. If you remember correctly the Jews believed in hell long before the greeks or the romans were around and Judaism is the roots of the Christian faith. Just thought I’d clear that up a little Anyways wonderfull pic. | |
