| 6 Dec 2007 | Glo 'the Bug' Bowden | Loading...I have really enjoyed all of your artwork! Wow! Thank you so much for sharing it in the woods. Once upon a time I dabbled in photo manipulation, so I know how much work you must put into every piece. I have to ask -- how do you get such lovely pictures of wings? --like angel/dragonfly/fairy wings. Or do you draw them? Tracy L Cornett replies: "Thanks! All of my wings come from photos; bugs, birds, butterflies. But I do sometimes do a lot of manipulation to the, so they don't always turn out looking like the photo they started as. " | |
| 7 Dec 2007 | Glo 'the Bug' Bowden | Loading...So do you use stock photos for said bugs and birds, or do you take the pictures yourself? --I remember trying to get pictures of wings, and failing miserably. It didn't help that I had a pretty crumby camera. Tracy L Cornett replies: "I try to avoid stock images. I really want the images to be my own. I have a decent collection of bugs and butterflies for images. For birds I use a combo of luck, a good camera and taking lots of images to get the perfect shot. You don't have to have an amazing camera, but you will need as good as you can get, one that can shoot fast and clear, because the birds will move. Burst mode can help. (you hold down the shutter and it keeps shooting)" | |

Now I must look through the rest of your work Amazing! Tracy L Cornett replies: "Thank you so much, I’m glad you like it. " | |
| 5 May 2008 | Katie Verdigris Smoke | Loading...Great! My favs are probably On the Prowl, all the little red riding hood ones and the fairy on the flower untitled thing. I’m torn between love and hate with your profile! (that’s no bad thing by the way) ^-^ Tracy L Cornett replies: "Um okay . Well I’m glad you like the ones you do. Thanks. " | |
| 10 Jun 2008 | Karen Stevens | Loading...I’m very, very impressed; your work is superb! As well as really liking your photos, I also like that you’ve tapped into the older stories of the fairy/fae...not always ’nice’ and certainly not to be trifled with! Excellent stuff, please keep it up! Tracy L Cornett replies: "Thanks so much. That’s actually what I’m concentrating on right now, reclaiming the old folklore when faeries weren’t always nice and updating it into a modern setting while staying true to the old tails. " | |
| 10 Jul 2008 | Anon. | Loading...What type of scanner do you use to scan your photographs? Tracy L Cornett replies: "I actually shoot digital now, so I don’t scan my photos. Years ago I used a film scanner, don’t remember what kind, but I do remember it was around 10 megapixels. Now you can find even better resolution scanners much easier than then. Nikon makes some really great film scanners. Or at least they used to, back when I still had to scan stuff. " | |
