| 10 Jun 2008 | Emma de Moel | Loading...Great idea! That looks painful... I’m not gonna carve my name into a tree anytime soon anymore... Tracy L Cornett replies: "Thanks, and I’m glad the image is having the desired impact . " | |
| 10 Jun 2008 | Lola | Loading...I just can’t get over how she melts into the tree like that! That does look very painful...I don’t carve my name anyway, but not because I think there are dryads living there. I just don’t because a tree is a living thing. Maybe it can feel the pain. Who knows? Only the trees do. She’s gorgeous. I love everything of yours! Lola P.S I also really like how you didn’t totally overdo it and make her skin purple with white polka dots...of course, I don’t know why somebody would do that anyway. Hehe Tracy L Cornett replies: "It’s good that you don’t, because it can actually harm the tree permanently. All there important stuff is near the surface by the bark. Enough carving can kill the tree. That’s why I did this piece, to point out to people trees are living things.
And thanks, I try not to overdo it, I know exactly what you mean. Though now I’m thinking about doing a polka dotted fairy, j/k. " | |
| 9 Dec 2008 | Aridia Ceano | Loading...i simply adore photo manips, and u r queen of them i never got the significance of carving stuff into trees... its like graffitti, the illegal kind... you don’t have the trees permission, right? LOVES IT! <3 Tracy L Cornett replies: "Thanks so much! I’ve never understood it myself. Not only is it rude, it does actually hurt the tree. " | |
