Wow...has it really been more than three years at Lothlorien?!
Thank you all for your interest in this gallery. ::) I have been sketching since I was about four or five. I was the little rat who's artwork was hung in the hall by the kindergarden teacher. (Thank you Mrs. Shower :P ) It wasn't until I learned about role-playing games that I had a direction for artwork. Never beasts or monsters; it was always the heroes and maybe a few skeletons.
I have minimal amount of art schooling from high school art classes. Mostly, I get advice from comic book artists from Sci-Fi/Fantasy conventions that I attend. I do highly recommend some books for anyone interested in sketching: The Art of Drawaing by Willy Pogany, Figures in Action, and any of the 'Dynamic' art series by Burne Hogarth.
Currently, I draw because it is peaceful and gives me a sense of accomplishment. It is a sacred endevor for me; to turn plain paper into something new. I try to devote an half hour per day to sketch, either in practice or fleshing out a concept. On the days that I can barely draw breath, (don't smoke, kids!!!) I write ideas and storylines down. My current goal is to advance my field of works into animals and anthropomorphics...so keep an eye out for new things. And if I could only make time for that airbrush!! Thank you all for visiting :)
Now Showing - Sci-Fi artworks in Zone47! Gallery 32 - Falk09
Update - been doing some 3D graphics and commission works. Check out my other art gallery via the homepage link. Animation with 3D is the goal, but still pictures are still rewarding. For those who have asked, and care...the new stuff is in Colors!
