Very nice wings there and I like the way you let the ribs on him show through his clothing.

Hey...Thought i'd stop by your gallery and have a look....I like this one i must say...The shading is amazing as well as the detailing of the picture2

:-) Falk Zimmer replies: "Thanks! btw: what you think about the "elven dream"? I mean you like portraits (or you draw thinks you don't like?)!"

I love the way you shaded in the inks (done in ink yes?) though the wings aren't quite as good as the rest of the picture, the feathers look more like leaves (like on a mamosa tree) but they're a heap better than I draw wings so who knows.

:-) Falk Zimmer replies: "What is a mamosa tree?? I done it with a fineliner (Stabilo, I don't know if you had this sort in Colorado). I wanted do use a special style of shading for this, but it's the only one I do it this way... you're right about the feathers!"Falling leaves, falling leaves, falling leaves on the ground..." Shit, now I have a earworm! Thanks a lot!"

You're welcome! I'm not too sure how to describe a mamosa (spellig might be wrong) but I'm sure if you really wanted you could find it online. And I don't think I've heard of a fineliner.

:-) Falk Zimmer replies: "The funny thing: they're called fineliner (yes, it's an english word) in Germany, I thought it came from the US... it's like a very fine felt-tipped pen. Will search for mamosa..."
