"Death of a circus Freak." by Linzi Jay Thompson

After a tragic circus fire, she is the only survivor but being mentally unstable she resorts to suicide to be with her Circus"Leaders" who would abuse her. In the circus she would do acts such as the tight rope and illusions. As Jikel, may seem very much human, she was born into a family of shapeshifters. Jikel would use ehr powers in her acts. For example; she would enter the arena as her normal self, but then she would walk through a curtain and come out as say a pigeon.

The leaders of the circus needed her for the money she brought in, but they treated her like an outcast beating her and mentally abusing her into nothing. She was fed limited meals and lived in awful conditions. When a local cop finds out about her talents he sets out to expose her, but knowing how bad this culd be, she sets on a path to seduce him.

After a few months, they start to fall in love, she would sleep in his car and sneak back to her "hut" in the morning before anybody woke.  The cop follows her circus act around the country, but after he finds Jikel with a broken rib and a black eye, he loses his temper, Setting the whole circus alight making sure jikel is safe.

But after falling down he falls unconcious and dies from the smoke fumes, Jikel is the only survivor now. And she lost her fiancé. The only man that every loved her. She couldnt take being without him, so she takes his car and walks to the edge of a cliff. Were she Jumps off into the water, breaking all of the bones in her body as she slams against its surface.
