close up drawing of one of the pterahippus. Sorry, I'm a zoologist, I have to give it a latin name. Pterahippus means winged horse, I was trying to create something that looked a bit more primal than the typical winged horse. So they're built more like a mongolian wild horse than the typical thoroughbred pegasus. Also while most horses evolved to have only a single toe, the pterahippus are three toed to give them a better grip on cliff surfaces, more like a mountaingoat than a horse.
