its a very beautiful and intriguing artistry you’ve done here personal for me it seems like there is great loss in the work itself, the girl is dying perhaps being killed (possible) by the very thing she loved yet instead of anger she shows her love for the unicorn while at the same time the unicorn feels a possible regret, something that it may had never experience before in its life. Which can explain the unicorn sadden expression on its hidden and tucked away face.
then again, I COULD BE WRONG.

Oh, it’s clear
A love, which loves the spirit, the soul of the beloved
and accepts that his earthly materialization kills/has to kill her earthly materialization. Accepts it because their love last beyond the material reality

what i get from it is that even the things we hold sacred the things we believe to be pure of heart and innocence can have deadly reprocutions

Very sad, yet beautiful as many have said. But you know... unicorns possess great power, so it could have healed her afterwards. Great piece of work.
