You capture the expressions on the soldiers' faces very well and from your other works, one can see you draw excellent ornate weapons. But to be honest I like your non-digital works (the two battle-ragers are my favorite) better, they look very professional! Cheers! Tsune D. Orozco Toda replies: "ill try contrast the light on the chain a little more. and ive had a few people tell me that same thing of my work. so. im trying to get to a middle point. where it looks more like pencil work, but still digitall. hope its more appealing for everyone that way, thanks for the comment."

Orozco Toda replies: "hahaha yea. thanks. i should send u the other idea i had for this illustration. but was against the basic idea of the game."
| 10 Nov 2004 | Greg | Loading...ORC: "For the Horde!! Loktar Og--glaaurk!!!" reminds me of the Warcraft series Tsune D. Orozco Toda replies: "hahaha, yeah, i guess that pretty much sums up the picture. and yep. altho my mosfin footman ,i've been told, looks more like a warcraft footman. than my orcs." | |

Everything in this is just total wickedness Nice blood effect there, like the armour scheme, and the fact that the orc blood is red for a change. Tsune D. Orozco Toda replies: "hehe thanks. what color is orc blood commonly? always think of blood as being red..."
| 19 Dec 2004 | Dermot McQuarrie | Loading...Kewl blood effect, a bit of gore always gets you more points. Tsune D. Orozco Toda replies: "haha bet it does. i like it tho.. always like blood splatters *in pics*" | |
| 20 Dec 2004 | Anon. | Loading...Great picture, and I love the rest of your gallery as well. You have a real talent for portraying orcs in a different light....as if they are an actual culture, instead of mindless drones with no other purpose than to be slaughtered by heroes. (lol although this pic might fall into the latter part of that sentence.) Regardless, I have a question: how did you get your art into Lucid Raven's card game? Tsune D. Orozco Toda replies: "thanks. i like to think of Dwarves as Vikings and orcs as more asiatic barbarian tribes. from Huns to Mongols. that helps me picture them and think of new characters.... as fior the LRP CCG art. it was actually the Art Director. Lance Card (aka Paladin) who contacted me and asked if i could have some pieces done for them." | |
| 22 Dec 2004 | Adam S. Winfield | Loading...Well in LOTR it's black, in most games like warcraft it's black/purple, i guess people do that to associate them with 'evil' When of course, it could be the other way around. Tsune D. Orozco Toda replies: "Yea.. i think it's the stereotype that makes us think of dark colors as "Evil" and bright colors as good. i could say it's maybe because thae obvious association of day/night and that evil lurks in the dark but......" | |
| 8 Nov 2005 | Mu_mu poopoo | Loading...Poor orcs.Well i made an manga cartoon about it. I pity them though... Tsune D. Orozco Toda replies: "no. no pity... Orcs don't need ne1s pity!! actually this was the second version because the first one i made was with an orc slicing a footman... but it made the wrong impression out of the finality of the game....so." | |
| 5 Apr 2007 | Bottenbreker | Loading...Nice picture, i like this style, howlong did it take you? | |
| 2 Jul 2007 | Pavel Kovalančík | Loading...Hi, strong moment as usually, aye? Your digitals (I guess u use mainly Painter) are great . Mostly because of atmosphere. Nah... my comments are mostly short and suck... I dunno what i could tell. Humans are nice, orcs, too. The chain mail armour is made precisely. And the expressions of both sides are well made. | |
