Tsune D. Orozco Toda replies: "when the Savage Species book came out I loved the idea to play one, still would. but those Level adjustments are just insane." | |

| 10 Nov 2004 | Greg | Loading...I've always wanted to play a mind-flayer character, but no DM would let me *sigh* Tsune D. Orozco Toda replies: "no one does usually. and now with the 3rd.5E with the ecl levels n ratial adjustments no one will ever.. unless they had a lvl 20 campaign and then maybe u could come in with a lvl1 mindflayer =p which would suck." | |
| 19 Dec 2004 | Dermot McQuarrie | Loading...It's Kuchuloo!!! Or Cthulhu, it all depends on if you read the Hackmaster comic or not, but sweet drawing anyway, I like the tone. Tsune D. Orozco Toda replies: "can u say *Cthulhu* ?? don't remeber how was it written on the side of the corebook for the RPG.glad u liked it" | |
| 19 Dec 2004 | Kat katherine.eglinton@ntl...com | Loading...An excellent drawing, I like the facial expression, it definitely reflects the evil and cunning of the mindflayer. I second the opinion that it looks a little short and wide though. I suppose the stereotypical mindflayer is tall and willowy, so that it may look down upon it's thralls in a superior manner. But hey it's all about perception =) and how you perceive your fantasy monsters... and this is definitely an awesome depiction of the beast. Tsune D. Orozco Toda replies: "might be that hes a little more torwards squared proportions sine most of the rest of the characters i draw are more muscular.... thanks." | |

| 20 Dec 2004 | Raina Kuptz | Loading...Icky mind-flayers. Though there was a running joke in one game we had. Do you suppose ilithid meat could be sold for high underdark market-prices as a sort of calamari-like meat with similar novelty to puffer-fish? Tsune D. Orozco Toda replies: "Lol yeah lots of jokes like that come up during RP sessions." | |
| 23 Jan 2005 | Anonymous | Loading...If you play with gestalt rules where you can pick two classes, then you can do one class in mind flayer and the other in a traditional class, such as wizard or sorcerer. Tsune D. Orozco Toda replies: "I´ve always liked to play by the book. with minor "summoning of obscure rules" and thus. the savage species handbook was a great breakthrough in the variety of things i would like to play. yet. I´m still in love with Orcs n Ogres." | |
