I really like what you were trying to do but I didn't quite get it until I read the description (neat little story btw). I think It's because the hand is completely falt against the mirror where if you had done it angles a bit, it would have been more clear. One more thing on that, if the mirror image and the hand look the same, and by this I mean that the mirror would be dirty in a public bathroom and the image would be slightly more 'grainy'. But I think you did an amazing job with the face and all shading that goes along with that. With that, I think the hand is remarkable. I guess I'll end with saying that the eye is just so darn creepy. Just floating there in the blackness... *shiver*. Good job . Natalie Paquette replies: "Argh. That hand. I don't even know how many times I redrew that darn thing. It was really difficult to do this without a good reference - I tried using my own hand against a mirror, but that was 3-D, and my perspective was off, and I couldn't keep my hand there while I was drawing with the other one - my sketchbook kept falling off of my lap! .. This piece was a practice in patience. A lot of my newer work is - because I'm really trying to push myself now. (I miss taking art classes.... *sigh*) Thank you for commenting, as always - and leaving in-depth feedback for me. [And yes, I know - it is creepy!!]"

The story just.. came to me, while I was drawing this piece. I guess the image "spoke to me" (how cheesy sounding can I get?)"
