Because some of my old Vampire Hunter D artwork was rejected when I first started this gallery, I decided I'd have to do something noticeably different so there wouldn't be any basis for rejection. This is an acrylic piece (I hate paint!!) combining Amano's D with the D in the movies (namely, I gave him that pretty, fluffy, white hair). It really needs more work than I put into it, but I just... lost all patience, so this is how he's staying. It's not terrible - but unfortunately the digital camera made it look even worse than it is in real life. Argh. Once the weather warms up, I'll take this piece outside and snap a picture of it - natural light seems to work better. ;)

I really enjoy seeing other mediums of art come into play on your site. Acrylics, tablet coloring, photo-manipulation, photoshop coloring, and pencils. These are the several mediums that I can think of off the top of my head on your Elfwood site. Although I can't say this is one of your best pieces, I think the fact that you try these various mediums is very exciting. I guess I'll just leave with this, don't be afraid to post other pieces done with various other methods, I think it's very neat to see all of these. Very, very cool.

:-) Natalie Paquette replies: "Thank you. 12 Paints are my weakness as an artist - color pencils coming in at a close second. But the worst thing an artist can do is stagnate and refuse to try new things, so I keep attempting to use different mediums in the hopes that I improve or find something new that I enjoy doing. ... I don't think I'll ever be that great with acrylics, though. ^-^"

Oooo very nice job with this medium! I really like the design and it has such a creepy effect!!! I like this one!!! 2 2

:-) Natalie Paquette replies: "^-^ Thanks - as I've said a half a million times, I simply hate paint. ... But I guess this isn't so terrible, at least in comparison with some of my other work. 12 I'm glad you like it."

Fantastic drawing! Vampire Hunter D has been one of the most inspiring and thought provoking movies I have ever seen. And Thanks for the return on the message I left. I feel like part of the future again!

:-) Natalie Paquette replies: "Thank you! I rather enjoyed both Vampire Hunter D movies, myself - it's just so much more thought-out and beautiful than a lot of the other anime I'm bombarded with. -- And no problem! 12"

Love your drawing alot! It's very good. You are very talented. I could never do that! i love the movie too!2

:-) Natalie Paquette replies: "Thank you. ^-^ All it takes is practice - which is something I should probably do more with paint. Heh."
