I try to write often, really I do - but it's much easier to sketch and doodle in crowded, noisy places than it is to write, and my handwriting is so awful that I need a computer to write stories (poems I generally scribble wherever I can when the mood strikes me, but it's hard to get the flow when people are screaming in your ear). Anyway, here are short descriptions of what I have in my library:

Child of the Night - a poem; a vampire elder's words to its fledgeling. Written perhaps in 1999 or 2000. Metered and rhymed.
Dance of the Fae - a poem about two faeries and a demon. Supposed to be somewhat humorous at the end. Attempted meter and rhyme.
Fear (Introduction) - a little snippet to make you curious and want to read my story, 'Fear' - which is about vampires, both the natural and the scientifically-created.
Fear (Chapter 1) - first chapter of my story entitled 'Fear'. The main character, an old vampire, awakens from a month-long sleep to find that the world is strangely quiet - and is attacked by a creature she's never run into in all of her years as a preternatural blood-sucker.
Mistress of the Tide - a poem about a woman who died and became a ghost of the sea. Metered and rhymed.
A Modern Faerie Tale - short story; a modern take on The Frog Prince. It's stupid. ^-^ But some people find it funny.
Noble Werewolf - a poem about a princess who is also a werewolf. Free-verse, no rhyme scheme.
Unwanting of Darkness - short vignette about *gasp* .. another vampire. Very old.
The Reluctant Vampire - a poem about a vampire who is hesitant to harm her lover and expose what she truly is. Metered and rhymed. In a strange fashion, but it is. ^-^
A Single Spiral - poem; metered and rhymed. About a unicorn. Illustration included.
The Siren's Song - a poem/song that a Siren might sing to lure sailors from their ships. Illustration included.
Tah'lhinn - A Vignette - okay, so.. it's actually kind of old. Based on my role-playing character Tah'lhinn (who is actually based on me) .. a short little snippet of one of her nights before she was turned into a full-blooded mun-dai (a kind of vampire).
**New!**
Bahl'zaroth - a poem, metered and rhymed, about a demon/monster/dragon thing and the ocean.
Wishes - a poem, metered and rhymed, about Phil and I, because I like to think that we're mermaids, or that maybe I'm a mermaid and he's a knight (there's an illustration coming of that, by the way!) - so this is the result of that fantasy.
*****More NEW!***** Hanging by a Thread - a poem about the Morae, three sisters who control birth, length of life, and death in Greek Myth.

Well as ive already commented on every poem, heres a nice reminder to update. Soon. Like, really soon. 2

:-) Natalie Paquette replies: "Awww... thanks, sweetie. ^-^ I've actually got a short intro to a vampire story I'm going to put up whenever the extranet opens again, but otherwise... I really don't write much. ^-^ I'm attempting to work on the aforementioned vampire story now and then, but it probably will never get finished. *sigh* And I won't be posting it up here, because if I ever DO finish it, I'm going to try to get it published. *laughs at own self-delusions* ..."

*Seventh comment dance* (I know there is no point, but I always wanted to do it... hee hee...)

Amazing... absolutely amazing... the way you manage to entwine the words into the rhythmic chant => (scary isn't it?)

Now sereously... I liked it very much...

Keep adding!!!

:-) Natalie Paquette replies: "*beams* Thanks so much. I very rarely write, but occasionally I force myself to dredge up something just to add to my library here - I feel like I'm neglecting it. ^-^"

Wadda ya mean your never going to finish "fear"?!?!
The introduction and first chapter are so ... enticing
you sinply have to write more of it ... please!

Oh, and I love your poetry - I don't normally like poetry but yours is really good!

Have you got the rest of "fear" in your head or have you run out of ideas?

:-) Natalie Paquette replies: "Heh. ^-^ I'm just too lazy. I have the main plot figured out, and part of some subplots, but I feel obligated to use medical terminology correctly in my work, and I want things to make sense and be believable, and.. well.. argh. I'm already taking a creative writing class this semester, so most of my writing juice is poured into fulfilling assignments. lol I do plan on writing at least a few more chapters before I give up entirely; and I come back to my writing years later sometimes, and rework the old stuff so I can continue the story. So nothing of mine is ever really /finished/. Don't give up hope. ^-^ If I write anything more, I'll post it here. 2"

It took me getting onto a completely different work schedule to manage what I promised you I would do - but I have done it. *grin* I have gone through all of your writings here, and I have commented on them, just as I said I would. I really think you should finish "Fear" - it's original, it's demanding, and it's very, very good so far. Even if you don't, I'm sure you know there are those of us who wish you would. *hugs* More!
