Eeep! It appeared because of the brightness of my monitor, they were ugly white patches where I had erased... Didn't know that:) So here's the completely clean version of my first attempt at colouring in Photoshop:)

Oh wow, great anatomy and colouring job. Why can't I use photoshop that well? *sulk* I also adore the wings, I think they're really beautiful.

This is so cool! I love it! How the eyes, the wings, the tail, and everything in this picture is so detailed! Keep on drawing!

Oh, wow. ^-^ This doesn't look like photoshop at all - definately more in the watercolor genre. (That's a good thing - I like to see variation in digital coloring work.) I mean... even down to the subtle brush stroke and blending, this really looks like it's traditional media. I'd like to add that I am in love with her horns - if only because they're not typical and not symetrical. Excellent work. 12

:-) Frieda Van Raevels replies: "Thanks!1 I think it probably looks pretty traditional, because I've never ever tried something like this before, and I used roughly the same technique as I do when I use watercolour2I really didn't know how to start at something like this in the comp, so I just went with what I knew2I'm pretty proud of the way she turned out2(*Only thing that I don't like about colouring with the comp is...it takes aaaaages!lol2"

So good! Love the pose and the eyes! Have you used a more soft colour in photoshop to make it look like watercolour? It's really nice when you can draw several layers of colour to make it more strong..

:-) Frieda Van Raevels replies: "Hi Thanks for the lovely comment2The way I used it was fiddling with the opacity of the colours, ranging between 10-30-60-80 opacity and then layering colours2I started pointing out the dark parts and then used a combination of lighter and darker colours to colour in the rest.2I used the technique more heavily on the wings2"

Gorgeous.... you don't happen to have a tutorial lying around somewhere, do you? Cos I would love to be able to give such coloring effects to my doodles.
