This reminds me of the card "Nightmare" from the Magic The Gathering Cards, I used to play this card several times, and I drew something very similar to it myself. Think about adding the rest of him and it will be even more awesome!

You did an excellent job coloring a black horse, but adding highlights and shadows so it does not look like a flat black. The fire is excellent as well. I like how you distinguished the horse's mane and feathers at its hooves by using red flames and putting yellow in the background. Very nice job! Thalion Everstar
