First, I must point out that this is not a rock elemental for Bifrost's Alternative Elementals project, this is an alternative rock elemental for Bifrost's Alternative Elementals project. Alternative rock as in the genre. It's meant to be a play on words, but a lot of people have misunderstood, so I thought I'd clear that up first thing.

Secondly, he is unfinished. I plan on eventually coloring him digitally and drawing a stage for him to stand on. Until then, here you have him in his full black and white glory. And yes, I know the rules concerning changing a picture that's in a tour.

Last but not least, I have an earlier B&W version of him, shaded in pen. If anyone's interested, that can be found somewhere in my DeviantArt gallery [http://jabberwocky28.deviantart.com]

Did anyone notice the lip ring? >_>

Ooooh! I get it now! It's coz it's on a tour, right? And no, I didn't notice the lip ring at first...

:-) O. J. Davis replies: "It's not on the tour YET. It will be once Brian Husted finishes with the Alternative Elementals tour. I've got a couple other things on tour here: the "Leaky Gnome", specifically.

The lip ring is kind of hard to notice in this truncated version. There's a higher resolution version on my DeviantArt page (Link on my bio)"

*raises eyebrow at above comment* Who's the picky one? I happen to like it! Good pose. Like the simplistic style, but would like to see this in colour.

Er... could you tell me why this one had a red box round it on your page? I don't understand...

:-) O. J. Davis replies: "I believe the red box has something to do with my latest updates to the site. Anything surround by a bright red box is by newest stuff; the darker (or non-existent) boxes are the older things.

I will get this in color just as soon as I get the time."

NO NO NOO! that guitar is all WRONG! it should have been longer, and it's WAY to flat!!! and there is lots of more faults!

:-) O. J. Davis replies: "Umm...NO, there isn't. I styled this guitar from a MODEL and I know for a fact that it's exactly on proportion. So shut up."

Ohh! An Elvin Guitarist! I love it! As far as our picky one earlier, aparently they are not familiar with 3/4 size guitars that an elf would most certainly need to play. Guitar necks can come in various lengths too, and I am guessing that an elf would play in a different modality than we human folks would.

hah- werent expecting a pro guitarist to pop up here were you anon prson?

~B

:-) O. J. Davis replies: "I have small hands anyway, so I HAVE to have a smaller, thinner guitar. My hands won't even fit around the neck of a standard sized guitar properly. I use a smaller guitar...I draw a smaller guitar. *shrugs* "

You've done a great job on him, Lando. I love the concept and the play on words. I really look forward to seeing this in color.

:-) O. J. Davis replies: "He was very fun to draw, I really enjoyed it. Oddly enough, I think he's actually one of my favorite pictures to date."

Hey again,
just wanted to say one more thing.... Dont wanna sound sarcastic but that isnt a lip ring, its a labrea ring. It is just above his chin not on his lip. Trust me i have my labrea and my lip peirced. Just thought i would tell you.
Sincerely,
erika

7 O. J. Davis replies: "Actually I think I knew that at one point in my life (probably the point where I got the tatoo on my ankle, the tongue ring, the four piercings in each ear...) the knowledge just completely slipped my mind. I'll fix the description. Don't mind me, my medication gives me temporary amnesia ^_^"

Hey
i reaaly like your art. The guitar is great. Have you ever thought about giving him some tatoos??? I think that it would give more to the picture. It seems sorta plain. I mean granted it is a good pic but it needs more umph.....You know?. Gotta run..... Just a little constructive critism from one artist to another. Sincerely,
erika

:-) O. J. Davis replies: "definetly not a bad idea. In fact, I think I'll use it. Thanks!"
