SciFi and Fantasy Art Seclusion by Nicole ´Storm-Rider´ Fletcher

Hmmmm... well, it's a fantasy for me... to watch the waves of the ocean crash upon the rocks, to see the islands, to smell the salty air, to feel the cool sea mist in my hair... it's always been a dream of mine... But *Sigh* Alas and alack, I was born in Saskachewan and raised in Alberta, the largest body of water I've ever seen is Lake Sylvan. But anyway, I've always had mental images of the ocean floating about my head and decided the other day to depict them. My mom wanted me to paint something for Iris, a family friend in Switserland and this is what showed up.

A bird perches in sleep upon a wave-sculpted rock as the heavens above scowl. Off in the distance you can just make out a fishing boat with two occupants heading back towards the safety of the island, trying to escape the coming storm.
