The lineless-ness of it, the SCALING (how did you DO that?!) the hair work... this is awesome! HOLY CRAP HOW DID YOU GET SO GOOD SO FAST!? x_X K. Fletcher replies: "Wow, you certainly know how to make a person feel good ^_^ I was afraid the "lineless-ness" was going to be a bad thing, I think it looks a bit blurry because of it (and because of stupid shrinking and conversion to .jpeg, evil). You're going to hate me when I tell you how I did his scales, it's really VERY simple. In Painter Classic there are different textures you can have for your drawing surface, and you can even change textures right in the middle of your drawing! So when it came to his wing, I just painted the whole section over with red, switched the texture to a scale-like look, and lightly rubbed over it with a darker red chalk until I had it how I liked. It's like cheating, I feel so dirty. Ack, if you like the hair NOW, you should have seen it before I converted it! So much detail lost... Ha ha, are you suggesting I wasn't good BEFORE? Ok, this is getting way too long, so I'll just end by saying thanks a lot for stopping by!"
| 10 Nov 2002 | Laura 'Lady D' Korhonen | Loading...Wai, I really like this one... Deep meaning or not, makes no difference, it's still pretty to look at. The colours flow together smoothly and make an interesting contrast with each other... the lineless look makes much of that, I think... Ohh, and I must say... I really love the hair ^____^ Very nice! K. Fletcher replies: "Oh, I really wish you could see the RIFF file of this! It's sharper and so much more vibrant. But I'm still happy that you like this one. And the hair, it's a rather odd thing because it just sort of floats there... But I think that adds to the surrealness of it all. Thank you very much for your comment!" | |
| 15 May 2003 | Lavitz | Loading...Wow the line less looks so great I mean to say you made it look so real that way. and and and how did you do ther hair? I need to know I love it it looks so soft like you could reack out and touch it. Do you use Adobe Photoshop? Anyhow I wish I was as good as you. K. Fletcher replies: "Oh, such a nice comment, Lavitz. Thank you very much! I'm happy you like what I did for this picture. As for how I did the hair, well, I sort of blacked out the space I wanted the hair to be with one solid color, then went back in different colors in long, thin, flowing lines. It helps to do it on the computer ^_^ I do use Adobe Photoshop, but for this particular piece I used Painter Classic. A nice little program. Well, I'm sure you could be as good an artist as me, I'm really nothing special. It just takes practice and observation. Thank you very much for stopping by! " | |

Sorry I didn't come by sooner, I dunnno what my damage is...Anywho, I really like this! K. Fletcher replies: ""Brilliant" now, eh? Gee, I don't know about that... ^_^ Oh, don't worry about coming by, I've still got a lot of stopping by at all the other Ninja galleries myself. If anyone's damaged, it's probably me. But thank you for coming anyway, I really appreciate it! It's nice to have such lovely comments after my short death-- er, I mean, "absence". ^_~"
| 1 Jul 2004 | Amy your best friend | Loading...Damn!! Everytime I think you've done your best picture you just have to go and make another picture thats even better! I love it. K. Fletcher replies: "Aw, Amy, you're so nice. This one is a little old, but it does have its charms. I should really get my butt into action and churn out more pictures, because you can't improve if you don't practice. I was considering doing an updated version of this one, to see how I've changed in the last couple years. What do you think? Thanks for the compliment ^_~" | |
