I think she looks like she’s escaping from captors and she’s looking back wondering if they’ve caught up with her. She’s got a decision to make....should she jump into the unknown watery abyss to attain her freedom, despite the possibility that she may die? She’s a young princess who is learning about the real world for the first time instead of being in her sheltered palace.
