In the Land of Nod

 

In the land of Nod
Where for you I wait
Standing alone
Outside those dark gates

Though we’ve spent years apart
In this god forsaken land
In Nod I am with you
Gently holding your hand

Walking over the Jade bridge
Across the deep Crystal lake
With the pearly struck moon
As a deep kiss I take

Knowing it must be a dream
Even if I’m awake
Looking into your eyes
For its my heart you did take

Hey! *Does first comment dance* Welcome to elfwood. I'm ur neighbor, Dela. This is such a cool poem! I like writing poems too, there fun. It's great to make the words fit and sound right, just like putting together the pieces of a puzzle. Ok, I'll stop rambling now. It's good to see a guy writing poems, you don't see that very often. Anyways, this is great! Good job! Upload more things soon.

*Clutches her hand to her chest, a vague smile on her face, her eyes glazed over* This is beautiful.. it reminds me of what a good friend and I used to have... *Mutters incoherently* Something went so wrong. Oh, how I wish I could spin such beautiful webs of words as you do yourself.

I'm not love persone but that is a sweet poem. I loved the way the words flowed. It has a lovly dark side.
