Lost Soldier

The battle is over

But not quite done

Many are dead

All except one

There in the field

Where the sun sets on high

There he lays bleeding

Just waiting to die

Though nothing he hears

And nothing he sees

He feels cold all ‘round him

As his memory flees

Now he is fine

All safe with his friends

There at Hell’s road

His Judgment begins

Oo good job with this one, the rhyming scheme is great. The end is kind of contradicting, it says he's safe and then it says he's at Hell's road. Maybe you meant it that way, if you did it's very thought provoking. Again, great job! Bye!

:-) Daniel Harris replies: "What safer place then in hell? Besides it sounded good."

*Gasps* I love it! The whole subject of war breaches pure enthrallment on me. I love it so much.. and I don't know why. *Shakes her head* It's so romantic.. war, in a sick sort of way. I love this poem, so very much. Most especially the ending in which you specify upon judgment. You are truly talented. You must write more!

:-) Daniel Harris replies: "How many you want???? Just email me and I will send some back."

There's a better attempt rhyme and rhythm here compared to the first poem, but it still seems a bit choppy to me. But don't take what I say for gospel, I hate just about all poetry I see -_-;

I liked it. You were able to put a great much in such few words. I liked it alot very pritty and well formed.

Oh my, this is spine chilling. Is there a story behind this? It seems mighty interesting, I'd like to know what Hell is like myself. I'm sure that if they sent me there, I would rule over though ::evil grin::

Most everyone who's already commented has pretty much said what I would've said but again, it's very nicely composed; you have a knack with words.

Gothic Tigress says:

He goes to hell? Geez, there's a different twist. I love this poem, it's so short and simpler than mine...maybe you could give me some tips?

My poem is called the Battlefield...

Great job! I need to read more...
