SciFi and Fantasy Art Dragon´s Rider by Frederico Lyra Chagas


	Quite Frankly, I didn't have all the pictures I needed to join elfwood, as I think that many of my work didn't fit the kind of art allowed here. So, I begun thinking of some images that would fit nicely, and this one was the first idea that I had: A futuristic warrior riding a dragon. Should i remove the metalic arm, this picture would belong to Lothorien... ;).

11 Mar 2003	Serena Lentz	Loading... The use of colours and texture is astounding in this piece, it really gives a realistic feel to the dragon. The dragon's wing anatomy could use a little work, but aside from that it's a great picture. Frederico Lyra Chagas replies: " Hey... Thanks for the first comment regarding the art on one of my works. It was the very first dragon I ever drew, and I was very pleased with the result. When it comes to anatomy, I see your point, and agree to it... It was caused by some trouble to find a position to fit the rider, that made me fit the base of the wing a little above the ideal place (because I think that it should be, like, an extension of the shoulder). Anyway, what is really bugging me is that the dragon's right arm is odd.Anyway, I've seen your gallery, and it more than convinced me to follow your advice. You are quite a dragon expert."

Frederico Lyra Chagas replies: " Just hope that the clothes industry don't wanna slay my Dragon and use it's leather to make fashion clothes. Dragons are endangered species, right? Or have you ever seen one up close?"
