'Greg 97_4 : Daynos' : Black ink (Rotring 0.2mm) and a little black watercolor. I'm thinking about adding colors with Photoshop. Inspired by some Burne Hogarth's sketches. Daynos is one of my comic strip's character. He became The Master of the Four Elements. That's why he's the greatest paladin/wizard ever seen in Azuria's kingdom, and miles around. The Elemets and associated Elementals obey him, to defend him and the ones he loved. Never attacking until it's necessary. He can invoque floods, rain, thunders and lightnings, tornados, winds, volcanos, hearquakes... or simply create a diamond for his wife. But he doesn't do that : diamonds are beautiful because they are rare. At the time the story appends, he's dead for many years. He's lost his wife, who was human, and couldn't live without her. Now Azuria's kingdom is in danger, but he's not there to defend it, and his child is too young... he's not ready ... Things to fix : you know what, it's the fisrt time I don't see anything to change in a character. But I won't tell the same about the background... Beuah !! (' Beah aussi...')

I'd swear that shading was aided with Photoshop or something, but i know better than that. Therefore, congrats on a shading done well. I agree on the pic looking it's best if it were all shaded in a similar fashion.

Sorry, no photoshop here. Only black ink and black water color. But I will try to color it (with painter and photoshop) as soon as I resolve the problem with my graphic tablet...

as always, excellent detail. it might be a bit easier on the eyes if you made the outlines of the character a bit thicker to pull him out from the background a bit... but if you're going to add shading and color then i guess this is a moot point =)

Great. The shaded area does draw aaway from the elf, but it sort of makes it more of a challenege to notice him. I really like this pic to, ou're a really great artist, but you know that right?

About the shaded area : I was about to fully paint it with black watercolor. But I found the result so horrible that I stopped. I've recently experiment a new technic of shadowing images without destroying the original. It allows me to fail ! But I don't know when I'll have the time to color this one, even if I'm very impatient to see it in color...

Um... just a little whining here.. diamonds are the mst unrare of jewels.. humans have facinations with shiny things for some reason... course i dunno.. might be rare in Azuria.. nough of that.. love the pic and the rest of your art.. *Drones*
