| 28 Oct 2005 | Melissa O´Dowd | Loading...Hey ya, This is really good artisticly. I have to agree with Sophie and the others, there is something not quite right about her torso and legs (they're brilliant on their own but aren't together right)
As to the symbols used (no I'm not going to rant) I'm a witch and I do get tired with the same old arguments. There's only the title and the atmosphere suggesting something black (yes the pentacle is inversed but as has been said, this means little as far as black and white magick goes) Perhaps the woman/witch is defending herself against the black magick?? Its all about interpretation of the ART!! Just enjoy it for what it is, and stop B####ing!!
Great piece, keep it up!

Your art is awesome, you have a very specific amagination which is great. I always have found it hard to dark type of stuff and this could help me (keep in mind i'm not saying i would ever steal work) But keep it up i think you could do great things with this work

JUST KIDDING! *gasp* need... more... woah I love the emotion thats in her face pure... rapture? lust? peace? not sure kindof all of those mixed together? I used to be wiccan and I loved the whole concept of the dark magicks which may be why it didnt work out... but um I love the whole "feel" of the picture, the demon type dude in the backround definatly adds to the pic, and I love the haze coming up off of the penticle. kudos to the max. I kinnda wanna go get a scaring and my nipples peirced now... hmm... *ponders* great work. Loves it. ^_^ ~Bev~

| 2 Oct 2006 | Magenta Rose | Loading...Before I say anything, I would like to give my compliments to the artist. (That is the main point of this comment box right? Giving feedback to the artist?) Although I am no artist myself, I do enjoy looking at art and I visit Elfwood everyday. Anyhow, I think this picture is wonderful. You done a splendid job Kristoffer. Since art is open to interpretation, this is what I see: Yes, this is a Witch, or perhaps even a Wiccan. I'm sorry to burst some people's bubbles, but some Witches/Wiccans wear their pentagram upside-down in their 2nd degree of learning. The reasoning of the second degree (again, in some traditions...not all) is to search inside yourself and battle any "inner demons" you might be facing, and come out of the ordeal a much better person. The second degree is for reflection of the soul. So, to me, in this piece of art, it seems as if this particular Witch has been meditating and she has found an inner demon, which she is trying to deal with. And even though the title is "Black Magic", it doesn't necessarily mean that she is conjuring it. It might simply mean that she feels negative right now since she is going through such a hard time, and all magic feels dark to her at this particular moment since it was magic that brought these feelings out of her. So anyway, that is my 2 cents. ~lol~ I hope it was understandable. Again, great picture Kristoffer. You are very talented! Many Blessings, Magenta Rose P.S. Yes, I am a Witch...I have been on this spiritual path for over 7 years. | |
| 21 Oct 2006 | Katlin I. Wallace | Loading...You are so talented! I am so jealous lol. I love how you did this, she looks as if she is concentrating really hard, as if conjuring a spirit or trying to banish one. Overall I love the magical streams coming beneath her, very nice effect. I love this picture and keep up the great work! | |
