You could make the claws longer instead of the entire foot, so it wouldn't seem so .. flabby? Eh.. And his body should probably be thicker too. Besides, shading would help making any figure stand out of the picture, so try it out. Keep on drawing! L. ´Frog´ Janas replies: " Yay! Constructive Critisism - it is a dying art.... *sighs dramatically* Thank you for the advice!"

Only complaint isn't really a complaint at all, because the head's so detailed the rest of the dragon looks slightly dulled down in comparison. Maybe giving it the more frilly / spinny look to fit more. Perhaps. Either way, I still like this a lot. L. ´Frog´ Janas replies: " I'm so glad you like the head! I was going to do the body, but then I remembered doing the mermaid picture and the time I tried to draw a snake and just said - nope, no more scales for me! I wasn't exactly sure what else I could put so I just stopped. Thanks for commenting!"
| 1 Jul 2004 | L.Z. ´Seyrah´ Draegeth | Loading...This is a pretty good picture; you've captured a lot of the peculiar "look" of a chinese dragon. And chinese dragons do have slim bodies, kind of like eels, so I wouldn't worry too much about that, though I like Ms. Jacobsen's idea of making the claws longer. Also, think about the placement of the right leg -- it looks a little like that one's not supporting him. Other than that, just work on shading! Nice work! L. ´Frog´ Janas replies: " Ya, I actually looked at some dragon sculptures on the internet to figure out the chinese thing..... And the leg does sorta look like it is sideways or something....... Thanks for the comment!" | |
| 7 Jul 2004 | S. J. Edwards | Loading...The head is fantastic, I love how you've given him a real individual expression, you've really made this dragon your own. L. ´Frog´ Janas replies: " Thanks for the comment!" | |
| 7 Jul 2004 | Nick Williams | Loading...the only think I can think of is to shorten up the feet like the others have sugested. maybe give him some shoulder blades? L. ´Frog´ Janas replies: " Yes, his body does need some work doesn't it.... Thanks for commenting!" | |

| 16 Oct 2004 | Tamara Raymond | Loading...The 3/4 position is tricky, especially with a head as complicated as this. I would have to agree with an earlier comment.. the legs don't quite match. I see the anatomy as the problem... the way the legs bend reminds me of a crocodile. He might be more upright, or he might have his legs dangling out below him if he's flying, which Chinese dragons do. L. ´Frog´ Janas replies: " Hmmm, that is funny - I was sorta going for crocodile.... I was trying to make him look stretched out but oh well. Thanks for commenting!" | |

| 29 Jan 2005 | Jamien T. Craig | Loading...awww very cute I love how it looks like it's smiling...my only advice is a bit more shading and put in some color!!! That would really make this picture come to life L. ´Frog´ Janas replies: " Heehee ok. I think I actually have the original so I might actually use all of these suggestions..." | |
