Great job. Dirk 'FrostFlight' van Boxtel replies: "|[ Thank you, Laurita. Great name you have there too =D ]| |[ It's an old drawing, but as I said: it's loved by many ;D ]|" | |
| 31 Dec 2004 | Chelsea Pizio | Loading...I like this kind of pictures, they always have a dark look to them. I can't seem to get that look on shadows, heck, I can't even do shadows. Anyway, it's a very good picture. Claps for you, and just to make people happy, first comment dance. Dirk 'FrostFlight' van Boxtel replies: "|[ Hello there =D Thanks for the comment ;D ]| |[ I left some advice for you on your gallery! And errr... Thanks for the dance too ;D ;D Toodles!!! ]|" | |
| 2 Jan 2005 | Marcelo Orsi Blanco | Loading...of course it has motion! the background does all the work....its perfect....I love this kind of pics...more of these is what I like to see in your gallery... Dirk 'FrostFlight' van Boxtel replies: "|[ Hehehe I'll try, matey, I'll try. Probably need to try more landscapes in the near future. And I might have to use some reference material. ]| |[ Thanks once more for your wonderful comments ;D ]|" | |
| 2 Jan 2005 | Rita "FyreNWater" Lau | Loading...Great pic! I can see what you mean about the motion of the picture. Good background that doesn't draw attention away from the druid. The detail of the staff's head draws your eyes straight to it, and then you naturally follow the staff to the hands of the druid. Nicely done, great composition and detail! Another thing: So i'm not the only person that got into trouble for drawing, then spent detention drawing some more... ::Laughs:: I also listen to music, get inspired, then draw to my heart's content... Even if it *does* result in getting in trouble for drawing in class... O_0 it's alright. It makes the art that much better for being done during a "forbidden" time. ::Cracks up:: Rock on! Dirk 'FrostFlight' van Boxtel replies: "|[ You're right about the background I think. Never looked at it that way but it indeed doesn't draw too much attention. I'll try doing more backgrounds in the future ;D ]| |[ And yes, school can be a pain in the derrière ;D And although some parents and teachers will not like me saying this: KEEP DRAWING IN CLASSES!!! It rox ;D MwuhahaAHHAAhaHAha!!!! *Aherm* ... sorry, got a lil' carried away there ;D ]|" | |
| 20 Jan 2005 | Meike de Nooy | Loading...So here I am. took me long enough! Really like the mod the brown black background gives it. is that done with the computer or is that some pastel crayon?? And I love druids... Dirk 'FrostFlight' van Boxtel replies: "|[ Just to let you know, I still haven't forgotten you, nor our art exchange ;D but if you'd browse my gallery, you'd see I haven't been drawing a lot =/ ]| |[ And yea, done on the computer but I think I answered that before the Elfwood crash too ;D ]|" | |
| 27 Jun 2005 | Yvonne Marie Honeyball | Loading...OoOoOOO .. i really like this piece, in some ways more than your skele-bob one, mainly because i of the motion and it emanates this wonderful power, the fact that you can hardly see this blokes face, that the background is quite dark and draws attention to the figure and it's areas of highlights. I think the staff is wonderful, it looks like it's almost glowing. Dirk 'FrostFlight' van Boxtel replies: "|[ "That's what all the birds say!" ;D Ladies tend to like this guy. Sometimes, I wish I was a Druid... No really! ]| |[ Thanks for the compliment. I should do more of this kind of drawings. With nature and all =D ]|" | |

| 4 Aug 2005 | Ruth A Moore | Loading...Very cool, mysterious and dark! I know what you mean about drawing in school, I'm another that does it, mostly when I'm bored or need something to take my mind off my worries. I also don't like people to watch me draw until I've finished it and sometimes drawing helps me to escape the world for a while. Anyway, Great picture - Keep ignoring you teachers and you'll go far! Dirk 'FrostFlight' van Boxtel replies: "|[ Hey there Ruth =) All that you just said is exactly right. It does help you escape the world of worries and it is irritating when someone disturbs you and draws you back to the real world by looking while you draw. And I too draw when I'm either bored or want to take my mind off of something. That's art, it makes life a little easier =) ]| |[ Thanks for the comment, the compliment and dropping by =D ]|" | |
