Did you read the *whole* thing? (eyes boggle) That's dedication! The bloody story is 28 pages single spaced! I asked people to read it all, sure, but I never expected anyone to actually DO IT!!
(bows head in gratitude)
J. Atlas Burke Ute Fuerst replies: "In fact I did, and I enjoyed it very much. So people, if you want some deep characters and a capturing story, go visit him, it's worth it.I didn't really consider that long stories will cause people to stop reading before the end, since I'm such a bookworm that I can't stop once I started.I'm writing rather long stuff myself, but if you want just a short glimpse on one of my favourite characters you could check out Umbra - scheming, it's really only an extract."
Here's another one who's not afraid to tackle long stories, either to read or to write them Thanks for reading the Dark Prince and now I am very curious to read your stories. I'm a real fantasy addict so that means it's off to Umbra at my very first lunch break.
Ute Fuerst replies: "Thank you, I hope you'll enjoy. I'm working on the chapters for Umbra right now, trying to make regular updates. I already have a lot of material ready, but there are some events that need to be told first."
Hello! I just wanted to leave a note here to explain my note on "On Dwarves". I was in no way disrespecting your work, and very much enjoyed the story... Just hit a sensitive cord in me that I had to bring up.
Anyway, no offense meant with the comment.
Hope you write more like that. It had a nice flavor!
Cheers! Ute Fuerst replies: "Thank you, Chris, I certainly wasn't offended by your comment. I already replied to it, and while I may be protective of some of my long-term characters, I'm not someone to put my preferences up for discussion. It's easier for me to write from the perspective of an elf than a dwarf, and my story really was an attempt of showing that they are a community, just as others are too, yet it didn't really bring out all the good qualities that someone who loves dwarves probably could work out. I did try however to write it without bias. Loving gems is just as good as loving plants, isn't it? *twinkles her eyes*"
HELLO!!!!!! I have a ticket coming out soon. If you would like to come by and read something that'd be just swell. Golly jee, thanks for reading. Ute Fuerst replies: "Ah, thank you for the note, I will check out your place. Sorry if I didn't react any earlier, sometimes real life just eats you up. "
*gasps in astonishment* Ohh, you mentioned me in your bio!
Thank you, thank you. *hugs and then runs off to hide her emotional moment from her surprised colleagues* Ute Fuerst replies: "*smiles* Well, you definitely deserve it. And if people like what I write, maybe they also like what I like to read."
I just read your Lia-story, and I really enjoyed it! I'm leaving a little crit for you if you're into that kind of feedback... if you're not, just ignore it. Hope you're writing more on it, and that you'll let me know when you update! Ute Fuerst replies: "That kind of feedback is always welcome, thanks a lot! "
Whoah! I'm glad to see you take my wishes to heart Let me know when you update, I'll be right over to read more! Ute Fuerst replies: "Ah, pleased to do right that. Sadly I had vey little time in the last weeks, exams and other duties took a lot of my time, nevertheless I started writing on Lia's story again, fleshing out some of my outlines. It will take a little longer till I can update, but I will let you know. "
So how's the writing going? You haven't updated in ages You are missed here in the woods. Please update soon! Ute Fuerst replies: "Hey Emmy, I'm sorry that I haven't made it over to your new installments, yet. I've been kept busy over the last weeks. But hopefully I'll have more time on my hands now, and then I'll be reading your new material, and also updating my own shelf. Uh, being missed here ... I didn't think I would be *smiles embarrassedly* ... Thanks for checking up on me. "
Hi there! It's been quite a long while since I last dropped by, and sadly I find that there's no more "On Dwarves"! I don't know if you're planning on doing anything more with that storyline, but I would certainly love to read further if you are. If the persistence of us fans paid off last time and there's hope it might work again, count my vote for "On Dwarves" chapter 3!!!
Regardless of what you decide to do, happy writing and have a lovely day Ute Fuerst replies: "Actually I do plan to continue writing shorter pieces on Dolgram, but I don't know when this will happen. He is one of those characters who will jump you at night, and demand a continuance of his story.Sadly I lost some of the comments in the last larger crash, which is also why I didn't reply to many until now."
