SciFi and Fantasy Art Ganymede by Lisha Fu

This is one of my first photoshopped pictures=) This was a cover page for my online manga (which never really got off the ground) and this is the lead character, Ganymede, a guardian angel disguised on earth as a human.
So this is like, from 4 years ago, but i want to put it up cos I'm really proud of the wings. Lol, at the time I was learning photoshop, I'd NO idea about using layers! So those wings were painstaking painted so I wouldn't smudge the drawing. I can't imagine doing that now. I've become lazier and lazier over time.

I only had ms paint for a long time so I understand how annoying that can be. My one criticism would be his arms. I can't see bending them like that, it seems like his elbows are on the wrong side. Perhaps the perspective I am looking at them in is off...but yeah, other than that this is a great picture. Lisha Fu replies: "Actually, lol, his pose was modelled on my own (weird) anatomy, and my arms can actually bend like that... He's a flexible angel =)"

9 Apr 2004	Stephanie Shimerdla	Loading... I think his arms look fine, too. There is a certain degree to which some people's arms can bend backwards. Anyway, I really love the form on this one! The overall shape and colors are really quite pleasing. Very nice

It looks very nice, I really like the color and shading in the hair... and I know a lot of people that can do that with their arms... don't fret, it's not weird... especially since I can bend my left pointer finger all the way back... it's all good. 14 Apr 2004	Leian	Loading... I actually -like- the arms -- because you drew that awkward angle of the anatomy well and convincingly. (and I'm not just saying that to be loyal! ^_~) Odd, how I noticed/admired that less-than-glamorous, non-focal bit of the picture rather than the (nice!) hair.. I like! ;D Lisha Fu replies: "It's not odd at all =) I pay a lot of attention to form as well, and generally am aware when I'm not drawing it right (even if i'm not skilled enough to know how to correct it) and usually we all have our favourite quirky areas.
