Wow. This is great. I love the way the background is out of focus to draw the attention to the fairy. Very nice and just simply great. Oh and by the way *does his extensive first comment dance*

very interested and well concieved drawing... I like the lights and darkness the most for the effects of shadeing...

Wonderful work with pencil. My favorite part of this whole picture is the lantern, with the candle dripping wax and the aura of brghtness it is shedding on the night.

Very interesting concept. It looks like you caught her in a vulnerable moment...like she thought she was alone. Nice use of negative space to define the focal point. Love it.

She looks almost more male than female in her hands, arms, and face. I would suggest re-doing the nose slightly smaller. The lantern is excellent.
