Like the castle at the top n bk, i never even saw tht till like the 3rd time i saw it. Bram Gerritsen replies: "You know I really don't do this on purpose, making this much detail in pictures. I do whatever I think looks cool, but I do like that it makes people think and sometimes confused " | |

| 8 Jun 2005 | Ark | Loading...I believe it's excellent, I don't never realy had a difinitive style in my artwork, it changed seamingly from day to day and month to month, I once drew things like this but I haven't been able to in a long time. I like this style because it embraces the truth of nature in it, that nothing is controlled. What I'm trying to say is that with no scale reference the grass and flowers, which would otherwise be very small and unnoticed, appear to be overgrown and uncontrolled, which is only cemented by the lightning in the backgroung giving it a feal of true chaos. I like it. Also, about your desire to work with other mediums, you should try oil pastels, they are usually cheap, and also they work great(But only if you blend them, otherwise they look like crayon). | 16 Aug 2005 | Tessa van Elten | Loading...Woooooooooooow!!!!!! This picture is so beautiful!!!!!!! So much details, it takes along time until you see all you have drawed!! I like the white/black!!!! Really, really beautiful!!! I wish I could make pictures like this!! Love it!!!!!! Bram Gerritsen replies: "Hehe, Thank you for your enthusiasms Tessa, these pictures take time of an average 25 hours I think. A lot has to do with just working for hours listening music and get lost in your work. But also hours of just walking around, looking at it, doing something else, looking at it again and stuff. So the hours I work on it are spread over a week. Just little sessions of inking, or pencilling my pictures. Sometimes I must force myself to finish it, cause else I'd get bored and it wouldn't get finished (Dutch translation -> Bedankt voor je enthousiasme Tessa Dit soort tekeningen kosten me gemiddeld zon 25 uur. " | |
