Hey hello everyone.

My name is Marieke, I live in Holland, 18/10/2007 is my 18th birthday and I´m very happy about that (since that's tomorrow!)..

Thank you for your interests in my drawings, although they're not all very recent (some are from 2000 :S )!

I'm a first-year-student on the Hogeschool van Amsterdam and I study to be a social worker. When I graduated from high school my art teacher told me to "never stop making those beautiful things", I told her I wouldn't. In the mean time it's been a long while since I've actually drawn somthing pretty, let along putting it online here on Elfwood.

Something else about me.. Hmm.. I'm neurotic (a BIT!), lazy (but my boyfriend beats me at that one), an art-lover (in any kind of way) and a music lover (although that's also art). I'm a huge van of P!nk and she has also inspired me to draw the drawings I've drawn (what a sentence).

I love critisicm, as long as it does something good/usefull. Saying I stink isn't gonna help me in any way. Tell me what I'm doing wrong and how to do it better and we'll both be better people. Also compliments are welcome ofcourse, hahaha!

Erm.. I work in an old-people's-home (u know what I mean) and I very much like it there. It's nice to know that even a chat of 10 minutes makes them happy and I'm really happy too if I can do something to make someone happy (again: what a sentence).

Fel Loading... hello there! mm, not a bad start ^^ you have a nice, simple style, which with a lil' more practice could produce great results! I guess the best advice i could give is to work more on structure and proportions... perhaps use references? There are a few good tutorials here on elfwood, which help with proportion (whew.. they helped me alot!) and perhaps.. experiment with lighting? try shading the skin to give more depth and life to the picture... unless of course it'll be coloured later =] all these are just small tips, but great start so far ^^ 31 Jul 2008 Elsa Kroese Loading...
