  | A world map of Nästê Fan (or Nasfan), the first industrial human planet. I hope you can read the text. (If you can't, blame the Elfwood picture size rules...) I'll copy it here for those who can't, with some further explanation. From upper left to lower right: Nëmnin ("Island"; from Nëmnin Sivënnis: "Northern island") Sivënnis ("Northern"; from Nasmenlïra Sivënnis: "Northern Continent") Süva ("Plateau"; from Süva vê Dämmê Sovönnila: "Plateau of Drifting Cities") Nömonnis ("Western"; from Nasmenlïra Nömonnis: "Western Continent") Dïminnis ("Eastern"; from Nasmenlïra Dïminnis: "Eastern Continent") The names of the continents illustrate the pragmatic nature of the Nasfanian people. They're all somewhat obvious names that just say what they mean. The colonists who named them didn't have time to think up complicated, poetic names. They had more important work to do. More detailed maps of each individual continent to follow, I expect. |
