Thank you for your interest, the dragon is taken from the medieval representation of the holy flag of pendragon, as proposed by heralds of the Welsh princes and Owain Glyndwr. The original flag was gold dragon on silver background, but for me to bear this was really sacrilegious as it must not be borne as a shield by anyone. The Welsh used a flag at their camp only. My versions were gold on sanguine red (very effective) and also gold on azure (as seen.) The shield was 3ft x 2ft and made from 1/2inch thick plywood. Very strong!
