Tarma and Kethry, from Mercedes Lackey's Vows & Honor trilogy. Also, very much of the awesome, with both of them. Keth is a mage, while Tarma is a nomadic warrior.

The linework is GORGEOUS. The only problems I see are anatomy related, the left one's head looks a little big and the one standing looks as though her upper and lower body don't quite match up; it could just be that her armor makes it look like that, though.

How excellent! There can never be too much Tarma and Kethry. A very interesting and original interpratation.
