Glo 'the Bug' Bowden

Glo is writing.

Where to start? Well to know who I am, I suggest reading my bio on my scifi/fantasy art page. A few things you will not find here: nudity, ludity, expletives, or anything else offensive to myself or to my god. In other words, I'm trying to keep this rated PG (not that the movie rating system is reliable anymore.-_-').

As you can see, I've been dedicating a lot of time and energy to Trench Coats and Love Notes. Please give it a read. You won't be disappointed...well, that depends on your expectations. If you're expecting the next Shakespeare, sorry, but if you're expecting to be entertained, I've got you covered. It's meant to be comedic, with a sprinkle of serious. And if you read, PLEASE LEAVE ME A COMMENT. It's only polite. I don't expect a novel, just write if you liked it or not. And if you have a crit, please be specific and keep it constructive. I don't know how much my fragile ego can take, ha ha.

I've been doing a few art trades that have to do with my story. As soon as those artists publish their pics I'll set up a link.  Here are the pictures I've done:

Cardboard Hut
Dark Horse
Rubix
Glass Slipper
The Four Villains
Masquerade -- SPOILER WARNING! (You might want to read through part 8 before going to this one.)
The Team Chillaxing
The Dark Horse Fan Club
One Last Glance -- MAJOR SPOILER WARNING! If you dare go to this one before reading through part 6b, I will eat you.
Trench Coats and Love Notes IM Madness
Trench Coats and Love Notes IM Panorama
Sudoku and Callisto
Agent Penguin
Agent Fluffy
Plushies!!

And we have a couple of art trades!

Kitsch - The Robotic Possum by the talented Chris Cunningham. He's so cute and cuddly! ...I meant Kitsch of course. Can't go wrong with a hookshot tail, am I right?

Agent Nancy Bobbles -- or Agent Wobbles, as she's known at The Agency. This one is once again by Chris Cunningham. The double hook is freakin' awesome!!

A Deal Made in Hell by Barbara Wickham. This is an incredible and intense rendition of Rook. I can't thank Barb enough for creating it.

Kitsch in all his cuddly cuteness! Brought to life by Stephen "Werepenguin" Cauley.  I LOVE the little details of those three all important objects he put on Hut's desk. --And the photo of The Team in training! :)

Chainlink in all his cuddly cuteness! Brought to life by Stephen "Werepenguin" Cauley. He's just like I pictured!

Teh Infamous Braid Fighters by Sarah 'Ash' Koch. -- this is a redo of her previous picture.  It's Hut and Su fighting side by side!  They look so cute together....

Mountain Thunder once again an image by the incredibly talented Barbara J. Wickham!

You Asked For It -Another masterpiece by Barbara. It's Rook. Looking simply gorgeous. Hee hee hee!

For Hut!  - by Sarah "Ash" Koch. It's the team!! Yeah!!

Too Many Pockets?! - Ha ha, one can NEVER have too many pockets. Quote me on it! ;) --Once again a piece by the talented Ms. Koch.

The Team - by Barb. It's us! Looking like us! Three cheers for the best team ever! :D

Mountain Thunder - It's everyone's favorite equine. This time done by the talented Emily Jane Templeman!

Agent Glass Slipper - as rendered by Stephen "Werepenguin" Cauley! I have been waiting to see some agents appear in his marvel style. This is just awesome!

Agent Cardboard Hut - by Stephen Cauley. I am so so so so so SOOO delighted to see someone draw her with a a flying wrench! And I love the sense of motion.

Agent Callisto - again Agent Penguin style. It's awesome to finally see some Callisto fan art come up. :)

Teh Unofficial One - Holy wow! A fan character! This again by the wonderful  Sarah 'Ash' Koch. :D

Our Favorite Group of Super Secret Trash Kicking Agents - Hee hee...Sarah, you're just too awesome. Thanks!

-----

Wonder of wonders...we have Trench Coat and Love Notes FANFICTION! Woo! --ok, well, it's not exactly FanFiction, and I don't encourage anyone else to go writing stuff like this. This was all written by people I know really well, and who're already a part of Trench Coats and Love Notes.

Callisto - by Madison VanDenBerghe.   Meet TK-421 as she struggles through the rigors of agent training.

Code Name Fun - by Krista Williams.  Our favorite team of agents before they've become agents!

How to get an Arch Nemesis - by Krista Williams. Glass Slipper lands herself a psychotic, neurotic, despotic (and not to mention completely unfashionable) Arch Nemesis.

Something's Rotten in Siberia... - by Krista Williams. Some interesting background information into the character of Silver Spoon.

Trench Coats Haiku! -- by Krista Williams. This is just too awesome...

Mmmmmm...BLTs -- by Krista. It's the Team's turn for cooking duty, but they're feeling a bit overloaded. Who will help them make the meal?

Wind-surfing -- by Krista.  This story sprouted from a passing comment made by Agent Groban in Part XIII. :)

Operation Meowser-Wowser - by Krista. It's about time someone attempted to rescue Olga... And here we meet Agent Fluffy!

Twas the Night Before Christmas - Agency Style! More fabulous work by the fabulous Krista!

Hi Glo!

Long time, no see.. i had a lot to do... i will visit your place more often from now on, as I see that you are working a lot!! And I am curious to read some things by you 2

Actually I will start writing on with Marblemoon over the summer holidays. Need to get on with that 12

Hope you are fine, all the best and until soon,

Love, Karin

:-) Glo 'the Bug' Bowden replies: "I think I’ve got to clean out my cookies or something...I KNEW I got a comment from you, but for some reason it wasn’t showing up on my other computer. Glad to know I’m not going crazy!

It’s good to hear from you! I hope you can upload new art and/or stories soon! 2"

Hey there; don’t know if you remember me, but I remember you so I just decided to drop by and say hi. 2

:-) Glo 'the Bug' Bowden replies: "I do remember you. How are you?"

Hey Glo, I was just wondering what you are going to do now that TCLN is finished? Is there a sequel in the making, or do you have an idea for another story, or perhaps are you just going to focuss on your art work? It just struck me and I was curious.

:-) Glo 'the Bug' Bowden replies: "I’ve been working on another story called Eyes of Stone. It hasn’t really gotten very far, and really there’s only a bunch of drawings and writing snippets. Trench Coats and I have needed a long break from one another, but I hope I can come back to it eventually so I can at least write the epilogue for my elfwood readers. I intend to edit it someday too, I just have to work up the gumption for such an enormous undertaking."

one more question, do u know the name of the adobe photoshop program you use? I’m in the market and the adobe website has some good ones, but I don’t know which one is the best for what I want to use it for, that being coloring my drawn pictures from a scanner. thanks!

:-) Glo 'the Bug' Bowden replies: "I’m currently using Photoshop CS2. I was happy with 7.0 though. The most current is (I think) CS3, but I haven’t been in the market for a while.

Truth be told, 6.0 or a student version wouldn’t be bad to start off with. They’re cheaper, I believe. It all depends on how far you want to run with it. 2"

I was reading Trench Coats and Love Notes, but lost my place when I had to take out the trash!!
*Wails*
My brother exited out of here, and now I have no idea where I was !!!
AUGH, I’M GOING NUTS!!
*looks around in panic*
But, I just wanted to say, that, so far your story has really cheered me ups. Yes, I know it was for funsies at first, but I still laughed and cried slightly at the suicide part!!
*wails again.*
Have a cookie! 91

:-) Glo 'the Bug' Bowden replies: "*munches cookie delightedly* I am so glad you are enjoying the story! I hope you will be able to come back and find your place soon. It gets much darker toward the end, but hopefully it’ll still be satisfactory! "
30 Jun 2009:-) Allison L. Miller
i guess i have another question, lol. Srry if i’m bothering you, lol. How does one send in work to the moderators with this new format? i uploaded a piece, but i can’t seem to find a way to send it in for publishing. Thanks again!

:-) Glo 'the Bug' Bowden replies: "Don’t worry - you’re not bothering me. I’m not sure how to upload with this new system, actually. I haven’t done anything in my writing profile for a while. Sorry!"
12 Jul 2009:-) Sarah "Ash" Koch
o.O...ok just letting you know i put a new chapter up...it didn’t go through the queue up because i added it to an already published chapter(by directly editing an apparently that doesn’t send your story back to the queue)....its under chapter 6 2

:-) Glo 'the Bug' Bowden replies: "Heh heh...as you can see, I’ve been neglecting both accounts equally. Thanks, Sarah. I’ll be over as soon as I can!"
23 Jul 2009:-) Lindsay Verde
Hi Glo! How goes the artwork and writing? Still keeping busy over the summer?

:-) Glo 'the Bug' Bowden replies: "Heh heh - apparently so, seeing as I’m a month late in responding to this. 2 I haven’t done all that much art or writing this summer, but I have been keeping it up as best I can.

Mr. Cotton’s...parrot. Same question - how goes the artwork and writing, eh? 2 I need to sit down and read through your extensive and awesome story collection one of these days. "
25 Sep 2009:-) Krista Williams
Wow. I haven’t been on here for agents! I mean...ages! Just wanted to remind you how freakin’ amazing you are!!!

:-) Glo 'the Bug' Bowden replies: "Ha ha! You’re sweet. Thanks, Krista-la."
26 Oct 2009:-) Lindsay Verde
Ah, I am just as bad, it’s taken me months to reply to your reply! *bad dobby, bad!*

I’ve been neglecting elfwood something fierce these past few months. I feared my muses had left me for good, finally made good on their threats to retire. But I think it was just the constant busy schedule of the summer that did it as they’re slowly coming back. The art has been non-existent since the time I took up paints, unfortunately. But it’ll come back sometime. And extensive is right ... and it looks like it’s going to continue to get bigger *sigh* I wish I could be more disciplined and stick to only one story ... but that doesn’t seem to be the way my muses work. And NaNoWriMo is coming up in a few weeks ... still trying to decide if I’m going to do that this year. So much to do!
