My first airbrushed pic ^^ I recently bought an airbrush and compressor, so I practiced over this quickly retraced sketch on kraft paper. I didn't intend on finishing it but it was coming out well and I got trigger happy (ok, bad pun). A mix of watercolours, inks and a touch of white pastel. The spatter and brown halo around her were actually done on purpose. The scan is horrible, unfortunately.

It looks ::awesome:: don't worry about the scan. After all, we have nothing to compare it to ^^;! The mixed-media thing idea thing (why no, i *don't* have any idea what i'm talking about!) ends up really cool, it just jumps off the page.

Oh, and ya know what I really can't resist? What really gets me right here, every time?
Big Damn Swords.

Looks like it scanned preaty good to me. Anywho, nice work with the air-brushing. Looks great

Hey, this is REAL craft paper? Nice. Better than me faking it with photoshop. 2

Also love the way you used the airbrush... works with the sketchy style instead of trying to make everything all "smooth".

Man the sword reminds me of Cloud Strife from
Final Fantasy VII and he's cool but she's just as cool
i wish i could get a pic done like this of Cloud

It rocks

I really like this, the size of the sword is perhaps a little extreme. i really like the way the trousers show the shape of her hips and then get baggier as they go down.

...and here I thought 'Laos' was a country in Southeast Asia, between Vietnam and Thailand. That 'sword' is probably just a large machete, used to hack through the undergrowth 2

I like her buster sword, needs a longer handle though...I think it's a little heavy for that short of a handle, unless she's like SUPER STRONG, and like superhero or something that saves people and stuff.. Gwaga!!my word, not yours!!

That Sword looks like it came from one of the "Finaly Fantasy" games! It is so cool!

The splatter adds to the roughness and fits the pic so do not appologise just reconise the style!
