Tag As FavoriteComment		Sycar is an adult male firedrake (note the spurs on the heels). This is an older pic, done in 8th grade, but I like it anyway. Pity you can't see it full-size, I had to butche... er, um, shrink the pic down to about a third or fourth of how big it was. Oh well. And as always my scanner left off all details, like teeth, the wicked blade along the end of the tail, the highlights in the eye... I wanted them to be birdlike. Covered in blades. If you look carefully you might still be able to see that little throat patch. It's semi-translucent skin, so when they flame it lights anywhere from blood-red to gold. Really, really pretty. And that ridge of spikes on the forewing is useful- you can see the drake on the cliff in the background hanging from it. Can you tell I've been thinking up details for my drakes for a while? Yep. I'm insane. Never denied it. Pencil.

This is pretty good for eigth grade, just like the other pic was for seventh grade ^-^ I like the back legs, the seem well drawn.

Yes you are insane.. but for having a bad scanner and having done it last year, this picture is awesome. I could never get the legs! you may hat me for saying this but maybe you could use pin for some of the outline so it will scan better...Moo.
