Well,  I just wanted to draw a fantasy horseman :) There's definitely more to him than meets the eye. I think he's a vengeful angel.

Just a liiiiiiiiiiiiitle bit in the proportions here and there separate you from perfection... But still is very very very good!

I wouldn't want to meet him in a dark alley either. The horse would stomp me and I'd be incapacitated laughter, watching the way that guy would have to walk.

seriously, the horse is awesome. the saddle issue was addressed earlier, but the leg... the proportion isn't off, the perspective is. You have the knee angled to come out to the viewer, but the foot is twisted back to fit the horse. If that guy was standing, he would have the worst case of club foot I have seen in ages.

I totally agree with almost everything said here it's a great picture but for the leg issues and the position of the rider at first I thought he was falling (the rider not the horse) if you need a model I recommend Zorro or something like that they're always rearing and all that fancy stuff. But other than that the picture is wonderful I could never do that good!

oops! In my earlier comment I wrote "sword" but I meant "spear".

This is a very nice dramatic piece, especially the hard lines of the shading and the rider's cloak. One thing to watch out for though--I have noticed a tendency for you to draw your legs a little bit too short. Given that they are closest to us, they should be the largest thing on his person (with the exception of the sword perhaps). The horse's left front leg also has the same problem and should be angled in slightly (horse joints rotate inwards a wee bit).

Beautiful pic, I especially like the horse's head!!

well, its a great pic, but . . . . It needs to be more proportionate. I mean people don’t ride horses on the horses’ butt, the people sit on their BACK. Work on it a bit more and you’ll have it2
