A pencil sketch painted in Photoshop. I like the outcome even though it took me about 10 days to paint (still using a mouse you see) and more than 50 layers. The characters are something of a cliche: The orc prison-guard, the elf mage, the human-princess-prisoner...

I think you could have added a bit more to his hand
otherwise it's a great pic.

Elves usually despise orcs, and vice-versa. So if those two are working together, then your picture is not that cliché... In fact, the evil mage should have been human, and the prisonner should have been an elven maiden to be completely cliché!

3 George Doutsiopoulos replies: "Well, apparently, my picture is not only a cliche but could also use a better composition and layout of characters. Because the elf is supposedly helping the maid while being kept invisible from the orc by the use of a spell. But you can't get that, can you?.. 10"

Indeed, it's hard to guess the elf is invisible when we fully see him. Perhaps if he had a dim illumination around him, or perhaps if we could see the scenary through him?

As for the orc, he looks more like an executionner than a guard. If he's currently attacked by an invisible elf mage, it's possible he holds his prisonner like this; but he should have a panicked look on his face, desperately searching his invisible foe...

Very cool picture! I could not draw like that for the life of me. Great work with the girl's tattered dress and the lighting! Wow!

this is SO powerful and emotive - the way she stares right out at you is so distressing, and how the orc is pulling back on her hair, which makes her eyes stare even more...very scary, hope the elf mage saves her in time!!!!!
