SciFi and Fantasy Art You Shall Not Pass! (2) by George Doutsiopoulos


	This is the digital-painted version of the 'You shall not pass' picture. How did I do it? Well, I often keep copies of my inked artwork before I paint them, so in this case, I simply scanned the inkwork and colored it in photoshop, trying to choose similar colors to the old, pencil sketch but also trying to retain and enhance the feeling of the original.

I also think this version is better because the first is a little washed-out, and loses its effect. but the color really brings out the movement and solidarity of the wizard! I would not want to cross paths with this. George Doutsiopoulos replies: "I know what you mean. The subject of a picture should be closely related to its coloring means. In this case, the intensity of the scene demanded a thick and solid coloring, unlike the effect of color pencils. Thanx for commenting!"

The image is cropped maybe a little too short--the diamond needs perhaps a little more breathing room on the top. Other than that I'd say it's just about perfect. Awesome job!
