Yikes I can definately see what Laura Michelle Billson was saying about studying realism before cartoons. Yup that definately throws me off course, the fact that I drew cartoons before 'realist' things and still does (thats gonna be a problem when I take A2 art next year...) However this stuff seems cool and will take a closer look now xx

My advice would be to give yourself lots of time on each piece. I don't know if you use 'guide skeletons' or not, but it might be a good idea to try them. Remember that you don't need to finish a picture all in one sitting--you can walk away from it for awhile and come back later.
I don't know if you already do or not, but sometimes it helps to draw with your paper at an angle. If you sit in a chair and cradle the drawing book in one arm while using the other hand to draw, sometimes it comes out looking better than if you lay the book flat on a table.
Well, that's my two cents. Just keep drawing all the time and you'll get really excellent at it.

1 Claire M.E. Gibson replies: "YaY. Thankyou! I'll try this. I don't use guide skeletons, though was thinking of buying an anatomy book or something."

I love the werewolf, the shading is a little blocky but otherwise it's fantastic! You need to work on people a bit more, but you certainly have talent! Keep practicing, and show that art teacher who's the best!

2 Claire M.E. Gibson replies: "lol. thanks. I'm not too good on shading, but I have been practising. Thankyou for your comment."

Thanks for paying a visit to my page! I really like your work, it has a style to it that not many people draw in. All of your pieces that you have posted really have an other-worldly feel to them, and it makes them really unique. Keep up the great work!

13 Claire M.E. Gibson replies: "Oh, WoW. I never saw my art like that before. Thankyou! Glad you like my work. Thankyou for commenting."

Don't be afraid to draw what you love.

The only way to improve is to keep on drawing;, one day, you shall surely succeed (in doing them justice). So don't give up - start drawing those vampires!

13 Claire M.E. Gibson replies: "YaY, Thankyou. I think I will..."
