| 6 Mar 2004 | Laura Michelle 'Celebanna' Billson | Loading...Ok. I think I see your problem. You're drawing the traditional way - symbollically. I'd like you to try this. Get a real person to stand infront of you, and look at them hard. Don't draw eyes, hand, face, etc, draw the space around the body, then, draw the contours across the various parts. Another thing that might help is getting your hands on an anatomy book. Study it, and learn proportions. This really isn't too bad for a first try. | |
| 2 May 2004 | Kyle Steeves | Loading...Well, that not to bad. Try doing what Laura said before me with a person or anatomy book. Or much like what I learned from was just look in magazines and other peoples artwork for the way the body looks in diffrent possisions and for shading. I find the most difficult thing besides porportions is the face so getting that right might also take some time to learn but from this you have a very good idea of how it works, but remember the face is best drawn with shadows rather then lines, (I should listen to my own advice sometimes, lol) and mainly just pracitce, you'll inprove quickly. Claire M.E. Gibson replies: "Thankyou for your advise. I hate drawin people, so this has helped me alot." | |
