| The second chapter. About Vampires, probably a bit cliched, but I hope it is also a bit original. |

It was easier the next time. Well, as easy as it could be. I still couldn’t get the image out of my mind of licking up the blood around my mouth.
I was a full vampire now. I had drunk from the innocent and my sire. I wouldn’t be able to see myself in a mirror ever again. I was glad, I didn’t want to know what I looked like now.
My next meal was at a club. We glided through the doors, watchful eyes scanning for someone easy. This would be the first time I was to feed without help from my sire. I had to pierce the skin myself.
We found one, sitting alone at the bar, a drink in one hand, and a cigarette in the other. She looked depressed as she took a drag, closing her eyes as she blew out the smoke and putting her hand to her head. I softly came up to her and sat down, ordering a beer I knew I wouldn’t be drinking. I looked instead at her veins in her neck, how they stood out so predominantly now, blood pulsing through them like life. I wondered how I was going to penetrate the skin as I felt my sharp fangs with my tongue. Was there going to be a struggle? I hoped not, I didn’t want her to be in any pain. I guess a part of me was still innocent, I had only been a vampire for a fortnight.
I looked into her eyes and smiled, she turned her head to look back at me.
"What do you want?" She asked, annoyed by my presence.
"Are you Okay?" I asked her.
"Go away." She was angry, but I sensed she was also sad. Her eyes gave too much of herself away to me.
"I’m sorry to bother you." I waited, she didn’t respond, she was looking back at the bar, taking another drag from her cigarette.
"Do you want a drink?" I asked.
"Sure."
That broke the uneasy silence. I ordered her a vodka and we talked for a while, random, unimportant words. All the time I was anticipating the moment when I would make my move to feed.
She told me why she was here, that she had run away from her parents, she couldn’t handle it any longer. The cigarettes were her only release, her friends visited her, but they had their own lives, they tried too much to get her life back together, more than she did. She didn’t care.
The rest I forgot, it didn’t matter, it drifted into the background. I saw my sire, and knew it was time. I took her hand, she shivered, I was cold. But she didn’t draw back.
"Come with me." I said to her. And she did.
I took her through a room that said ‘Privet,’ and into the staff room. No-one but my sire was in there, I didn’t ask how he got rid of the other people.
"Josh," he said to me.
"I’ll watch over you this time, as it is your first go, to make sure you do it right."
The girl looked at him.
"You here to watch?" She asked. "Whatever gives you a kick." She laughed. She had a pretty laugh. I remembered that as I started to kiss her, fooling her. I began to go down her neck, she arched it, I bit her softly, then harder. I sank my teeth down, she groaned slightly in pain.
"What…" She began, but didn’t finish. I felt the blood touch my tongue, the pleasure, the security. I drank, happy I had done this on my own. I felt her begin to go limp, and my sire pulled me away.
"That was very good. We must leave now before they realise who we are." He whispered in my ear. I didn’t want to leave, I was the happiest I had been. At the moment, anyway.
"Its Okay, we’ll get more later. I promise."
I looked up at him hopefully, he smiled, and so I followed him out of the club, hearing sirens distantly in the background.
