| 15 Feb 2008 | Gabe Davis | Loading...I’m sorry, but I would like to ask you what you seek to gain by drawing sketches of nude women. It really doesn’t seem like the best use of your talent to me. So, I don’t own you, but I would advise you to stop. There are SOME people in this world who do not want to view pornography every way they turn. Again, I think it is a poor use of your obvious artistic skills. Gerwin Broers replies: "I just felt like it and wanted to see if I could do it. maybe after that I should have also tried to draw women in a less hollywood influenced style. maybe later..." | |
| 6 Apr 2008 | Johanna Nothing | Loading...Well, Gabe, you do realize that when you dont like something that everyone else agrees is awesome, it’s not the artwork thats stupid...if you catch my drift, which you probably wont considering this logic. | |
| 29 Apr 2008 | Katie Verdigris Smoke | Loading...Love the colour of the paper you use, it really makes your pics look like they’ve come from old manuscripts. Just one thing though, sometimes your dragon’s heads look slightly too squared off, like they’ve been made from abox and then not rounded off enough. Just a small point, and i couldn’t draw dragons like you so who am I to talk? ^-^ Your photoshop creations are very annoying as well. I keep telling people, if you are going to be good at photoshop you have to sign an agreement with me first! Don’t worry I’m not quite that self centered. Your computer-coloured pics have a glow to them that I have been trying to achieve for about.........Three years. It’s SERIOUSLY not fair! Gerwin Broers replies: "Thanks for your comments! If you want to paint on a computer I would advise you too get a tablet (wacom) and a program like corel painter or deep paint. The latter is free for download. It is a bit difficult to setup your brushes but after that it paints very well. (I can send my brush presets on request If that would help)" | |

| 10 Jun 2008 | Katie Verdigris Smoke | Loading...The thing is, I’ve already got a tablet and I find the mouse easier. Thanks for the suggestions for paint programs, I need to have a look at Deep Paint as I’ve seen the effects it can create and they are stunning. Do you mostly use the more painty programs (you know, the ones that make it look as though you’ve used actual paint) or the ones like photoshop that have a computer look of their own? Thanks again for the tips, you’re one of the few people who’s replied to my requests! ^-^ | |
| 10 Jun 2008 | Katie Verdigris Smoke | Loading...Yay! Yay! Yay! Another person who likes alternative music! Have you listened to Kate Bush? Coz she is the GREATEST! Anyway, great art, as I’ve said. ^-^ Nothing wrong with repetition. Gerwin Broers replies: "Sure I know Kate Bush from the radio, she has not really catched my attention yet. You prefer a mouse over a tablet, a mysterious choice In deep paint I just use very subtile paint effects, as it appears on the succubus image, no paint thickness and patterns and all the fancy things. The color just smudges and faints a bit, and with an above-basic tablet you can also control the brush angle and tilt and pressure. very useful. " | |
| 7 Jan 2009 | Katie Verdigris Smoke | Loading...OK, now I do use a pen tablet. I got it hooked up properly and worked out how all the different brushes worked with it and now I can’t survive without it ^ ^ Thanks very much for your advice. It has helped me greatly. | |
