SciFi and Fantasy Art Feylin, the Fireelf by Holger ´Mangalore´ Goebber

This picture occupied me over the course of several weeks in which I worked on it, revised it, added details, revised it, adjusted lighting, revised it, ah well her eye color switched four times I guess. So, yes, it was lots of work!
Done for Santharia .
As many people ask about it, yes I used a poster from Tomb raider as reference. Taught me not to use too popular pictures as one on one reference but actually this photo was the origin of inspiration for this picture of an elven adventurer. Still I hope the similarity is not as grave as causing a copyright violation though.

Sometimes I get so sick of anime that when I see a gorgeous, realistic piece like this, I just want to jump up and down and giggle and run naked through the house screaming, "I found one, I found one!" Seriously, great work. Is the resemblance to Angelina Jolie deliberate? Holger ´Mangalore´ Goebber replies: "No, used a Tomb raider wallpaper as reference. Proves to be a bad idea as I didn't want it to look close to her at all. Just liked the pose."

4 Oct 2003	Little Dragonne	Loading... I think it isn't so much that she LOOKS like Lara Croft... it's something about the hair and the line of the neck - it's the tension in her pose. The facial features dont' look a thing like Angelina Jolie (okay, except for the lips). Gorgeous eyes!

26 Jun 2006	Anonymous	Loading... I think that sometimes we want to go into our own realms from even popular themes just to prove to the mind that other levels of dimension and imagination exist. If we focus too much on the general idea of what we recognize, there really wouldn't be that much of a point to express thought and emotion through art. I thought your piece was brave and yet alluring. Her eyes are the first aspect I noticed. It's really nice.
