Why are so few decent Orcs in Elfwood? I just wondered so I drew one of the most important. A very famous female Warlord of the Osther-Oc tribes who led her people nearly to freedom.
Why do Orcs have to dress in fur and hide? I also wondered about that as this makes poor foes and even worse warriors but as Orcs are meant to be a warlike race I added sufficient equipment. It does not look brute but it will do its job nicely! ;)
Done for Santharia .

Yowza! An excellent pic, definitely my style. I'm gonna bookmark this gallery 2.

:-) Holger ´Mangalore´ Goebber replies: "Always appreciated. Saw some very nice pieces on your gallery as well. Will certainly check back to look at it in more detail."

You certainly have a different perception of orcs from anything else i have seen on elfwood, but i like the style, it takes them out of the clichéd role of brainless violent destroyer.. Nice pic

:-) Holger ´Mangalore´ Goebber replies: "I'm developing Orcs for the world of Santharia and there Orcs are the race of the element of Fire.I also dislike things like good and evil because they're very subjective. So I try to develop my Orcs more thinking how would a race of warriors behave? What would be their main impulses? What would they develop, what not? And to the very end: How can Orcs be dangerous when they don't bring a minimum of brain to the battlefield.Maybe it is not so much perception but a dislike to any simplifications that made me change my view on Orcs so far from the mainstream.Anyway, thanks for your comment!"

Purrs. This is a great picture, I can't draw armor/clothes or weaponry if my life depended on it, and I like her face. I did answer your comment, but the e-mail got itself returned. I have two new orcs up, if you're interested.

:-) Holger ´Mangalore´ Goebber replies: "Thanks. Sorry, when my mailbox was full. I'll check your new pics out."

this is good....EXCEPT *heh love saying that* the head doesnt really go with the body, maybe if you made the skin more, i guess, rinkled, or shabby, like a real "orc". But besides that its really good. Most of your work is in color, so maybe it will look good in color
