Perhaps when my book goes into publication, I'll give you a call You've managed to combine an extensive layout with great aesthetic graphical elements. You've also given your map room for the imagination to breath in, not too cluttered, allowing for possibilities for places as yet un-named - a sense that I like when looking at a map. Very professional. Holger ´Mangalore´ Goebber replies: "*hehe* That would be cool! And thanks for the compliments! A tortured artist's soul sometimes need that! ;-)"

Maybe if it wasnt just one block of keys in the corner, but spread throughout the picture, maybe on eper corner.. But otherwise it does look really kool Holger ´Mangalore´ Goebber replies: "Got me! After drawing the 100000th tree I got a bit tired of drawing good elements as well and so just added the key to fill in the gaps."
| 23 Nov 2002 | Amory Koch | Loading...The lines on the paper are too crisp for it to look as old as the paper, but mad kudos on actually drawing a map. I always stump myself trying to figure out walking distance vs. riding distance vs. flying distance and heights and Gah! no more! Looks like a real map, too. Nice, nice. Holger ´Mangalore´ Goebber replies: "Too crisp? Explain a bit more! This is actually the small variant. The normal version shows everything from woods to mountains, without this great letters and words. Maybe it got to some degree lost on resizing." | |
| 3 Dec 2002 | Amory Koch | Loading...Well, what I meant was- the coloring on the paper would be burnt and smudged, uneven and faded like the paper itself is. It looks too even and saturated. Probably does look better in the bigger format... oh well. Very nice map, anyways. Holger ´Mangalore´ Goebber replies: "Ah.... AAh... ARGH! *heart attack*Ok, I'll see if I can take that into account when doing other maps. Lol, thanks for this tip, definitely worth a second thought though it sounds like.... work. ARGH! *g*" | |

No other style makes a perfect map, and secondly, get a tutorial on how to make maps like that on www.santharia.com/workshop. Lastly, you could make the map look even older, if you: a. use hue/saturation and give it a tea-stained look. b. use the erase brush to put some holes in it, then sharpen the holes and darken them in. Or c. sharpen the whole thing then do the above. Great job on the map, keep up the good work, and...keep the dream of dreams alive!
